Club Brugge Foundation receives eighth Football & Social Responsibility Label

Club Brugge Foundation

The Pro League has once again this year awarded Club Brugge and its Foundation the 5-star label for its Football & Social Responsibility (FSR) work. Since the introduction of this prestigious quality label in 2017, our Foundation has been honoured with this recognition for eight years in a row. It is the highest accolade in Belgian professional football for clubs that excel in social engagement and work with a firmly embedded policy plan throughout the entire club structure.

The label is the result of a thorough evaluation by an independent panel of experts, who assessed the Club Brugge Foundation’s operations based on 63 criteria, divided across six thematic areas: inclusion, equality, accessibility, well-being, ecological sustainability, and good governance. The awarding of the 5-star label confirms both the quality, measurability and strategic foundation of our work, and Club Brugge’s role as one of the frontrunners in social engagement within Belgian professional football.

No Heart No Glory

Since 2007, Club Brugge Foundation has pursued a broad social policy and, under the slogan No Heart No Glory, works daily on projects involving sports participation, inclusion, education, health, and sustainability, harnessing the power of football. The core belief is in football’s unifying power as a driver for social change.

Part of our Club DNA

Chairman Bart Verhaeghe responds proudly to this recognition:

“This award is the result of the work of many people within the Club family who contribute daily and with conviction to our Foundation’s mission. From staff members, social partners, committed volunteers and loyal sponsors to the thousands of fans and participants. Social involvement is deeply rooted in our Club’s DNA. We strongly believe in the value of well-established and sustained social engagement. It’s wonderful to see that reflected in this highest distinction.”

Head of Foundation Peter Gheysen highlights the ambition to continue growing:

“This recognition motivates us to keep Bluvn Goan and strive for even greater social impact. We remain focused on initiatives that genuinely make a difference in people’s lives. We’re ambitious and want to continue addressing social challenges, together with the many Foundation partners and volunteers we work with daily. Because only Allemoale Thope can we make this happen.”
