Club YLA strandt in halve finale na doelpuntrijke strijd tegen RSCA Women

Beker van België - Vrouwen

Club YLA has seen its cup adventure end in the semifinals. Against RSCA Women, it became 2-4 after an intense and goal-rich match. Despite a strong reaction in the second half, the deficit proved too big in the end.

The match started with a lot of fighting spirit from Blauw-Zwart. However, early in the game the visitors took the lead through a goal in the 8th minute. Club YLA reacted immediately and was close to an equalizer, but Petry saw her effort go just over the goal. Boutiebi also created danger with a clever volley, which was saved by the visiting goalkeeper.

RSCA Women remained efficient and managed to further extend the lead. Just before halftime it made it 0-2, a score that was also on the scoreboard at the break.

Shortly after the restart, Club YLA was dealt another blow with a third goal.

Still, Club YLA showed resilience. Iliano, with a goal in the 62nd minute, brought hope back into the Bruges hearts by notching the 1-3. Unfortunately, just 3 minutes later another goal fell on the other side, 1-4. Not much later, Petry provided new energy and belief in a possible comeback with the 2-4.

Club YLA kept fighting and looked for more, but failed to reduce the deficit any further. Thus ends the cup story in the semifinals.

Despite the elimination, Club YLA can look back on a strong campaign and a match in which the team's character and fighting spirit were once again evident.
